Foundation

Support for Building and Idea...
definition for Foundation!
(also make-up base - which doesn't apply to our home)

The cement truck has arrived and prep work begins!

Cement boom or arm is beginning to pour our cement.

Round concrete circles to support the flooring.

Arrival of 2nd cement truck!

Let the cement pour!

23 yards of cement were poured for our foundation!

Now, Ed and I share the strength of the foundation of our home
as well as the foundation of ourselves, family and friends!

Were Permitted!

Building Permits are here!
The Willcuts are officially beginning to build.

Concrete Footings have been poured.

Found a small flower or maybe a weed growing
in our future Great Room!

Get ready for gardening!

Where's Elaine? Like Where's Waldo!
Please leave a comment if you can find me.

Blog News Bulletin!
Today at 1:00 pm - Foundation will be poured!

Boys and Electricity

While waiting for the building permits Ed and I enjoyed
sharing our property with some special boys in our life.

Bradley! Our nephew.
As we were walking the property he mentioned that the
photos didn't capture the "vistas" that surround Coyote Loop.
Inside I was thinking that Grandpa Henry would be proud
that Bradley noticed the views!

Zelda did not want to look at the camera.
She was looking for gophers!
George and Terry! Our Brother-in Laws.
Our future consultants on plants and flowers
for the landscaping and gardens!

And, Zelda! Our very special dog.
Zelda will be dreaming about gophers -
after sticking her sweet little nose in a gopher hole!

And what did my favorite boy Ed get very excited about -
Electricity! We have PGE!

Which we are very happy that the unit is placed on the
garage side of the house and not in the front of the house.
Thank you, Mike!

Driveway and Ground

Before construction starts there are a few items that need to be placed...
First - your own honey bucket!

Or as Ed calls it Elaine's New Master Bath!
(Perhaps I will add a small floral arrangement on the outside.)

Drainage pipes under our driveway
Ed and I wanted to save the White Oak Trees.
So... we moved the house on the lot.
Placing the driveway entrance between the trees.

Jake connecting pipes.

Lewis deciding the angle of the driveway.

What fun it was to drive onto our property!

Good-bye stakes!

John commented that he wanted a tractor and shovel like the yellow one!

Hello ground!

Now, we are waiting for the "official" building permit.
Then foundation!
