Blessings

We are in our new home!
... and loving it!

Official move in date September 6, 2013!

One of the first important moments in our
new home was to have it blessed.

The person we choose was a very easy decision
...it had to be Tencha.

Tencha with Ed and her grandsons Per and Bradley.
Tencha believes and lives by 3 things we can all do -
Be Happy! Be Positive! Be Faithful!

As Tencha was reading our blessing tears were streaming down our cheeks.

Dear Ed and Elaine,
I said a prayer for you today
and know God must of heard.
I felt the answer in my heart
although he spoke no word.
I asked that he'd be near you
in your new home
at the start of each new day
to grant you health and blessings.
I asked for happiness for you
in all things great and small.
But it was for his loving care
I prayed the most of all!
Dear God Bless!
Ed and Elaine
In there new and beautiful home.
Love, Tencha

As we enter our front door we are blessed!

From morning to night we have been
unpacking boxes, organizing and enjoying every room in our home!

Making Choices

Everyone has heard the saying -
Location, Location, Location!

Our house location was chosen!
The Stables at Coyote Run

Floor Plan choice - Meritage!

Next step - exterior choices.
Stonework, Windows, Doors, Color Palate!
All chosen!
(featured on this blog)

Do you ever wonder how the interior of a home comes together?

In the next few weeks I will take you thru the choices we made.
How those small samples can come together and give our home it's style!

Countdown - 1 Sunday

It is hard to believe!
 Just one more week!

As I got out of my car I looked up at the sky.
The  moon was shining early in the morning.

Placed my favorite red rose chair on the patio.
Along with the Coyote chair!

I thought about the first drive into our new neighborhood.
Touring the homes with Chandler Willcuts.

10 months later I am sitting on my patio watching the sunrise.

The sun beginning to shine on the pasture.

Simply...our dream is coming true!

Countdown - 2 Sundays

Wow - only 2 more weeks!
The excitement is continuing every day.

However, there is still a "To Do" list!
What got checked done off the list first?

Delivery of the Tractor!
I believe this is the reason Ed wanted this home site.
The need for a tractor!

Let me introduce you to Clyde!
The name of the tractor.

Why Clyde?
It is the work horse that represents Budweiser - Clydesdales!
(Although being born in Colorado I should be mentioning Coors).

We are living at The Stables at Coyote Run
and Clyde will be our horse!

My cowboy!

Let the dust bowl begin!

On Sunday morning my chair was placed in the trunk of the car!
I decided to watch the sunrise from the townhouse we are renting.

The reason for this -
our new home was wrapped!

Prep for painting the Trim!
Including the columns.

Even the lights were wrapped.

Painting team applying paper and tape!

Also, plastic!

I must admit that it was very hard to wait all day to be in our new home.
The trim is simply...perfect for our color scheme.
It was worth the wait!

Cabinets Have Arrived

If I had to choose my Top 10 Days
in the building process this would be on the list!

The day the kitchen and bathrooms become real!
The day cabinets are delivered and assembled in the rooms!
The day of how I imagined both of the rooms with cabinets comes true!

Cabinets are in our home!

Perfect example of our two stain choices!
Lighter shade - Chocolate
Darker Shade - Ebony
Ebony piece for the front of our soaking tub.

Ed's Sink area in our Master Bathroom.

Beginning of my sink area with vanity in our Master Bathroom.

Dusty Ebony cabinets in our Guest Bathroom!

Chocolate stain for our Laundry Room!

Now on to the room that is my favorite -
the Kitchen!
The core and center of our home!

Wall Cabinets in Chocolate.
The islands in Ebony.

Remember the cabinet in construction for the cappuccino machine -
Here it is! Of course doors will go on!

Beautiful piece of Alder Wood in Ebony stain!

First light turned on in our home -
Construction lamp.

Looks very elegant!

Who is constructing our kitchen and bathrooms?
Luke one of our best contractors!

Simply... smiles were on my face when the
cabinet doors where placed on the cabinets.

What is that white sink in the island?

Our farm sink!
Since we are living in the wine country.

There are a few surprises in those cabinets.
Check back!

Countdown - 3 Sundays

This Sunday morning sunrise reminds me of the joy
I felt this week on Coyote Loop.

Each morning I would arrive at our home and there
were contractors working on our home.
Finishers, electricians, stonework, cabinet makers and plumbers!
It felt like Christmas morning everyday!

Let's start with a quiz.
What is different on our home photo?

A photo I love!
Trucks and Vans from the contractors working on our home.
Perhaps it was delivered and installed from one of our contractors.

Here is a hint!

Another Hint!
It is 36 inches long and I am so excited
to be able to turn on and off!

Answer -
Lights! All on dimmers!

Please meet Savannah our light over the farm sink.
Placed right where I was standing in the previous photo. Quite a difference.

Light in Nook

Trim placed on the top is a Fleur de lisle.
A symbol of our last name.

Dining Room Chandelier.
Lights on in early morning.
Dimmed of course!

Chandelier lights on during the daytime!

Love the structure of this light at our entryway.

Amber globe in light.

Light as you enter the Master Bedroom Suite.
Simply...etching is beautiful!

Guest room lights.

Blue tape to mark paint touch-ups!
Alexa the perfect light for the Powder Room!

The name of this light is Bradley!
In honor of our son and nephew - both named Bradley.
Light placed in the guest bathroom.

Ed's Office light.

Must have one "boob" light in the house!
Laundry room was chosen to have this light...
not exactly sure why we placed it in this room.

The brightest light in my life... my husband Ed!
Who joined me this morning.

Also, Thank you Lori for helping me select the lights!

Here is a sneak peak of what will be on the blog in the next weeks!

Granite, Marble, Tiles, Flooring and Appliances!
